LaVoi, PhD, director of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport and senior lecturer in the School of Kinesiology, is quoted in a Yahoo!Sports story, “The World Cup for women is still largely coached by men.” LaVoi’s comments support the notion that while women’s sports have become increasingly successful, the “system is still the system.”
